yes of course and is a very useful tool in diagnosing problems. leaking injectors will affect your air fuel readings and your fuel trims and also your maf readings as well. regarding the maf try unpluging it and see what happens. if the engine ticks over smoother there could be a problem with the maf. you could try cleaning the maf sensor with carb/brake cleaner but do it carefully as the sensor is a thin piece of wire.

Yes running standard ECU, my car has hard starts during first startup in the morning, high idle when cold outside even after achieving operational temps. The high (1100rpm) idles happens randomly, if I shut off and restart the engine it will go back to 800rpm.
Idle doesn't fluctuate.
Why have you not installed the ESL ecu yet?
Have you checked for error codes?
Sounds like it could be a CTS fault?
Install the ECU/ESL and do some data logging so you can see what's happening

I don't know anything about tuning so I doubt I'll be able to read the logs. What would I be looking for?
Yes I would install the ESL since you have it.

Data logging is very simple and the ESL software is very user friendly

Awesome, yes I printed and read the manual few times. I know how to log, just not sure what to make of the info. I will install it after work, log and see if I can view it.

You will get the hang of things when you start using it.
Don't log everything at once as this slows down the sample rate.
Example,if your working on boost log Load,TP,WGDC,Manifold pressure,rpm,vehicle speed.
Working on timing log Load,actual timing,IAM,Knock events,TP,speed,coolant temp,IAT(if you have one fitted)
By the way,I'm still in the learning stages myself so don't take my info/advice as gospel lol

I installed the ESL ecu. To get an accurate reading, to I log doing wide open throttle pulls? or Just regular driving?
You can tune idle and cruise more accurately if you switch off closed loop,this way you can line up your AFR with the wideband and get things a lot closer so closed loop isn't working as hard to make changes.
And WOT pulls to get your power runs tuned.

I didn't want to go wide open throttle logs if not needed. I was hoping I could view some sort of data on the log if my pump is going. I'm at work so I can't check, but I am assuming no.
