Default 8s ecu to OBD port

Hello guys

I am living down in mauritius and some reason my sti v4 obd doesnot correspond to the uk version. I ordered a ESL ecu which came on an 8S ecu but I cant make connection between the 8s and the OBD. Can someone please let me know which pin number on the ECU goes to which pin number on the OBD port. I would be super grateful. Thanks alot.

It uses the ssm lead for your car(the yellow plug under the steering column.
The OBD2 port is pretty redundant on your V4

Apologies,I've just checked the ESL site and it does say v4 is obd.

My old uk2000 with the 8s ecu would never connect to a diagnostics using obd so I assumed ESL would use the ssm.

Is the obd cable an ESL one?
Did the driver install correctly?
Is the software working ok?

yes all ok software side and it is an original obd 2 cable

As I said above. the wiring to the obd port was not good.

I have put the pins in place but still getting an error.

I would be grateful if someone would give me the obd pin out for an 8s ecu so that I can check if everything is corrected.

I noticed that the b135 pin 2 ( starter switch ) is interconnected with b135 pin 5 ( select monitor ) are they supposed to be inter connected ?
