Default Opensource vs Racerom 2016 STi

Howdy,

These days, what are the pros and cons of each?

Racerom now does speed density, flatfoot shifting, auto blip on downshifts, launch control set by cruise control button, 2 completely different maps etc.

So does open source offer all of the above, or has RaceRom overtaken it on the more modern ECUs with Si-Drive?

Thanks

you can get some patches for the rom that would add launch control (non-adjustable) and flat foot shifting, speed density is provided by a different opensource patch as well if you need it.

racerom brings it all together and a bit more, you can use the SI-Drive button to enable your map switch as well plus you also get a few more launch control options to play with.

If your at the stage where you need speed density then it may also be time to start considering aftermarket ECU's - link plugins are getting more affordable now or there's always syvecs if you need something that's top of the line.

Sounds like RaceRom is still worth the license fee then. I know what I'll be doing
