Default Revo mapping

My mate has a standard golf GT tdi 2.0 and he reckons he's getting a revo remap giving him 185bhp from a standard 140 bhp with no mods, that's 45bhp for doing nothing, surely this is bull****.

Wouldn't be surprised if its a modern one as most cars now come so restricted from factory especially turbo cars, (which most are now).
Would that not come standard with the same engine as a leon FR diesel just detuned a little ?

very different kettle of fish, your as likely to blow up a scoob by flash mapping as it is to work, there just too temperamental and highly strung from stock.

Not uncommon with modern cars nowadays, I got about 50hp and 80-100flbs gain but mine was custom tuned, not a generic off the shelf map.
