My 94 jdm sti has never had a working "vehicle speed " function on the apexi fc ecu and I just assumed it was because of the early mechanical speedo mechanism .

I have just fitted a avcr and in the "vehicle specific" ecupin out diagram it shows a speed sensor pin which I have connected but still no reading on either the avcr or fc .

I assume that the v1 must have a electronic speed sensor (as well as the mechanical one) for there to be a ecu pinout so could anyone point me in the direction of where the sensor is so I can try to locate the fault by tracing the wiring back to the ecu .
