Default wiring gauges.....

had a look on the search thingy but cant find anything

i just want to wire my boost gauge, oil temp and oil pressure gauge to only light up when the ignition is on....

what is the best way to do this? its a 1993 classic.

How about wiring the backlights to a switched live...sounds like you've wired them to a permanent live.

You can find this on the radio connectors.

Really you only want them to light up when your lights are on.

Depends on the type of gauges though, I suppose.

Yeh I've wired mine to come on with the lights,wired up to fog light switch

Use it to find a live which is only live when lights are on, behind one of the switches is usual.
