Think im wrong here but dont think there is a loom to fit avcs loom to sti ecu on a wrx, the loom is for an aftermarket ecu ie syvecs.

Hello!!!

Yes, we do a loom for the WRX ecu. It comes with pins ready to insert into the vacant locations in the WRX ECU plugs

If you can't find a second hand one, we can always do you a new one - £180 delivered.

Absolutely have no problem going to tim if can't find second hand one,i was just hoping to save a few pennies. Somebody may have already done what i have (fitted avcs heads to uk wrx & fitted sti ecu) and then decided they wanted syvecs and no longer require their old sti ecu avcs jt ino loom..

Going Syvecs doesn't magically add the wiring from the AVCS to the ECU

But isn't it a different avcs loom for the syvecs ecu compared to the one for sti ecu?

The looms are the same except for what they are provided with at the ECU end.

The version specifically for the newage WRX/STi ECU has pins ready fitted to the wires, each wire labelled, ready to insert the pins in the vacant pin locations on the ECU plug.

The Syvecs version is basically just bare wires, although I (usually) pre-join grounds and power to make it a little simpler to wire in. The installer is left to splice the wires in place of existing connections (since this will usually be used on ECUs that don't natively support AVCS and you are re-purposing the inputs and outputs).

The AlcaTek version (for classics) has a pair of plugs ready to directly connect to the AVCS add-on board AlcaTek can provide.
