Default Fuel pump quickie!

Is there any need for this rubber end and soldering on new plug and wire as old plug fits pump.
Thanks.

The different plug is for different models so if yours fits dont change it. The rubber is just to make it a snugger fit i think but i didnt use it. Cable tie it to the cage.

Did this at the weekend.

No need to change the plug - standard one fits fine.

Using either the foam sleave or rubber cap will mean that the pump won't fit to the body. Just cable tie it without them.

The pump outlet meets the inlet pipe with about 3 mm to spare. So you only need to cut the rubber hose down to 2 inches and then fit the banjo bolts.
