Default Dump valves

Hi, I have recently fitted an aftermarket Dump Valve on my 2002 Subaru impreza wrx and have just watched a YouTube video and they say that because the air is not recirculated the engine will run rich on fuel mixture because it is putting new fuel in for the new air and over compensating for the air that isn't been recirculated, is this right and do I need a remap after fitting this dump valve, please help!!! a very worried wrx owner.

You won't need a remap for a dump valve from my knowledge. I replaced the vta after purchasing my sti with the oem recirc.

yup - there's nothing you can change in the map to counteract the loss of measured air, as far as the car is concerned it's an air leak so it will compensate around it everytime it dumps/doesn't dump. So long as it's not leaking you'll most likely be OK.
