Default Blob PPP ECU swap

Can I just take a Blob PPP ECU and put it in another Blob ?

Does anything daft need to be done like re-coding the keys to the ecu etc or is it like the old Classics and a straight swap ?

Cheers, the blob doesn't have a keypad (it has an aftermarket alarm system and fobs)

It has the subaru keys but the buttons don't do anything, and there isnt a keypad in the little pull down thing like there is on the bugs

Sounds like the OEM sigma alarm has been removed or you have an import (from Europe?) as I think the sigma alarm was UK only. It shouldn't stop you doing the swap though as all you need to swap over is the immobiliser chip in keys (separate from the alarm) and the immobiliser control box and ignition barrel surround, all shown in the pics on my thread. And the ECU...

If the car has an aftermarket alarm then I would have thought this would not affect a new ECU, apart from the fact that it would be coded to the donor car

Correct. But the ECU isn't coded to the car but to the immobiliser, which is why you need to swap over everything related to it.
