Default failure code P0132 and questions.

Hi there,

while driving 120kmh for longer distance on the motorway, my CEL came up.
Checked it today and failure code is P0132 Front oxygen (A/F) sensor circuit range/performance problem (high input).

Does anyone have any experience wih this code?
Is simply the sensor gone or are there other things which might influence this problem?

Car is a 2002 STi and completely stock.

Kind regards and thanks!
Daniel

yes either a dead/dying sensor or a short in the wires going to/from the sensor.

You can track the cable from the sensor up to the connector (near the boost solenoid) and see if there are any obvious signs of breaks (exposed wires/cable crimps etc.) but probably as handy to just replace the sensor.
