Engine Rebuild on GC8 Rallycar, worht going to avcs?

Engine Rebuild on GC8 Rallycar, worht going to avcs?
Hi All,
Probably going to get shouted at for asking the same sort of thing again anyway..
After reading numerous threads about putting avcs heads on a classic im still looking for more information.
Firstly I have a chance on some ported and polished standard heads, would these be better than standard avcs heads?
Secondly how much difference does it actually make?
and thirdly from what I understand on doing the conversion you need obviously the new heads and cam covers, a newage cam pulley, new wiring loom which I would get from JTI, re mapped ecu (I'll be getting alcatek). Im sure I've missed something off so please correct me

Not sure if AVCS heads would help you in yours case,when car is rally car and where you will be mostly on boost
What heads are yours ported and polished and what cams there are fitted ?
Standard AVCS,if you mean UK STI then not sure,but if you will go with JDM Big Port then you can gain something and secondly,what turbo are you planning to run?

Hi Jura, thanks for getting back to me,
My heads are version 4 if i can remember correctly, they have a standard cam at the moment but I will be upgrading this when I've done some research into the best one. It'll be running a vf34 with 34mm restrictor.

V4 heads are pretty good and with right cams they should be good option,but if you will get AVCS heads(V7 JDM STI ) and with right cams(Kelford V2-199B or C) then you will have awesome heads there
I would speak with Alyn@AS Performance,he have good experience with rally spec and rally engines
