How to tell if a car is mapped with Ecutek
I've been trying for ages to read the ECU on my 03 blobeye, but just can't get it to work. I've got two cables that can see the ECUwith FreeSSM and can log. One of the cables I have modded as per the madjax mod instructions, but still no joy.
Now I'm starting to think maybe the car has been mapped already and that's why it wont read, so is there anyway to identify an ecutek mapped ECU?
The only thing is, the car doesn't feel mapped, as in, it's not that fast, only boosts to a steady 1 bar at max boost, but the boost seems to come on late to me at about 3000rpm.

i thought 03 was open souce so most mappers could map it ,and any decent branded fault reader could read it
my car is ecuteked mapped and you can,t tell evan if another mapper looks at it as the data is locked so a rubbish mapper can,t copy a top mapper .
zen did mine but if i went to jgm i would,t have to pay the licence fee but he would have to do a fresh map and over write the map i got .if i go back to zen he can look at data and tweak it for around 150 to 200 quid .

U can't mate, you'll have to put it on the rollers. Mine got mapped today by Racedynamix and is pulling 280bhp on a sports cat, second cat delete, panel filter, silicone intercooler pipes and 3 port boost control solenoid. (wrx) well chuffed.
