Default ECUTEK/Remap 2006 WRX PPP

Hi all

We've been looking at remapping and have read several posts on here. We just need to know if the above car has the ECUTEK map and is locked or can we take it to a reputable mapper and they can custom remap it? I've read conflicting information on here with some saying they had an ECUTEK Licence with the PPP remap and it's locked, some say its open source and can be mapped by anyone.
Its only had the Prodrive centre section and rear box replaced to Japspeed and Ninja 2 respectively and is running fine, its fuel consumption seems to be getting worse, hence the remap.
Will the mapper be able to tell this information on plug in or can you visually ID this beforehand?

Any advice or help is greatly appreciated in advance

Thanks

Hello,

Google Jolly green monster and give him a bell, his name is Simon Roe and is a very reputable mapper 👍
