Yes please - he should be cool with it. Just don't 'drop out' - at least not until after Saturday! No seriously he seems pretty good about the timescale, but you had better contact him anyway.

Is it too late for me to hop onto this GB??

I'd be looking for the remap around mid-april if thats OK? Should have all my upgrades fitted by then.

I think you'll be ok, but as I said above if you can contact Rich @ Powerstation to confirm.

Either phone or use:

office@powerstation.org.uk

I have sent him loads of emails, he's probably getting fed up of seeing them from me, so if you could email him yourself to sort it out.

If anyone else wishes to join this Group Buy, can you please contact Rich yourselves. Just mention the Group Buy organised by Ian Jeffery on Scoobynet & SIDC and he'll know what you are on about!

I'm going up Saturday, so I'll ask him when to stop this Group Buy.

Thanks,

Ian.

I think you'll all be pleased with the results.

Powerstation are a top company.

Rich has extracted 382/360lbs from my MY02 STI.

Had my remap this morning.

Mods:

JR Panel Filter
Ninja Sports Cat Downpipe
Magnex resonated centre decat
Magnex 6x4 oval backbox

This gave:

230bhp - not bad on standard map.

Over to you Rich....

At this point a hose blew off, so off with intercooler and everything duly tightened and put back on.

Another power run, and boost was not going over 1.1 bar - Rich looks for 1.25 bar. Checked the turbo, no probs there - giving 1.5 bar. Checked restrictors, standard everything ok.

Rich recommends 3 port solenoid. Aye say I, why not!

This does the trick, and after several more power runs and tweaks and maps etc. etc. jobs a good 'un:

Well happy with that. Driving home, apart from noticeably more power (42.6bhp more to be precise), its much more driveable and smoother when under boost. In fact the last tweak Rich did was to smooth out the boost a bit and it worked a treat.

So, a big thanks to Rich, a fantastic service above and beyond what I expected - top bloke too!

Oh, and free hot drinks in the waiting room, together with a Playstation and magazines

For those thinking about having it done, do it you will not be disappointed. Rich has also agreed to keep this Group Buy going for now, so if you want it done then contact Rich.

Cheers,

Ian.

Oh, and yes the car was stinking - so when I arrived back I cleaned it and it looks tops again:

Longer than it should have, but only because of the hose and fitting of the 3-port.

Think it took 2 hours all in, maybe 2h 15m - not sure.

Top stuff though - much much better to drive now

ps does anyone else notice how cleaning the car gives an extra 10bhp? maybe its just me

Nope, none at all - he just gets on with whats in front of him if you know what I mean.

When we first got the car into the roller bay, I quickly told him mods and said to him that the car probably had 220-225bhp. He said that he thought it would be more like 230bhp. And it was 230bhp!

If we hadn't have hit a couple of snags, it would have taken more like an hour. I stayed with him the whole time, very interesting stuff - f**k me wrap up warm though, its freezing in there with all the blowers and extractors on. He gives you those plastic ear/headphone wotsits (what the hells the name!), as its obviously very loud in there too

And yes - most satisfying getting rid of all that nasty salt, now its clean I'll round up the power to 280

Good man, pleased to hear you're pleased with the results.

Powerstation is a great place to have work done, I had my ecutek done at the end of last year and am well chuffed with the results and I've been back for my 40k service since.

Rich is a TOP bloke, as you say, really knows his stuff and just "gets on with it". I've already bought my decat down pipe and am looking for a suitable up pipe before returning so they can fit the parts and put her back on the rollers for a remap tweak (charged per hour)

95k.

I bought it a month ago, and have been v sensible (unlike me!). Changed MAF, clutch, oil, downpipe, panel filter and then remap.

The centre decat and Magnex had been done before I bought it.

60k motorway miles between 2000 and 2002 - standard until then.

Now its a different car to a month ago - lots spent but as I'm keeping it for a good old while its worth it

Tbh, I have no idea!

However, every mod sheet and advice I can ever remember reading it has been done, so I presume so yes!

Always seems to be one of the first mods people do, but as to how much bhp difference this gives I couldn't tell you.

The car is 6 years old, but in the first two years did 60k - so I presume it has been used as a company car up and down the motorway.

Rich was impressed actually how much power it was putting out on the very first map he tried. Also, it show how effective the new Ninja Sports cat downpipe is.

Don't have to shout. If you read all the thread, there is/was no day organised - its not a Rolling Road day, these remaps take up to 2 hrs each.

The Group Buy price was if we could arrange 5 or more names. After that happened, I emailed Rich and from then we could all arrange our own times/days to suit.

I happened to be the first one to go ahead, and had my remap done last Saturday.

If you want this price, email/phone Rich and book yourself in - just mention the Group Buy organised by Ian Jeffery on Scoobynet.
