Is there a great difference in having the car mapped on a RR rather than whilst being driven outside?

Mainly refering to the temps and perhaps not getting the right conditions to adjust things to the max?

Sorry to ask dont know much about these things.

Sorry, have no idea! I'm sure someone will come along in a bit with some comments however.

This was discussed at length recently. You're not going to get a definitive answer as to what is "best": some prefer the control afforded by the RR, others prefer the ecological validity of the road. What is agreed is that the skill of the mapper on their preferred choice is the most important thing.

Powerstation have a very good reputation so you needn't worry about arguments over the relative merits of RR vs Road mapping.

from what i can tell from reading the other threads it is increasingly difficult to test high speeds on the road and without a dyno they could only really be guessing or in great risk of fines, crashes or worse mapping on anything other than a test track and not everyone wants to hire bruntingthorpe for a day to map.

Do you reckon Powerstation would also fit an exhaust system (i.e centre pipe n a highflow ninja sports cat DP) a wallbro pump, maybe a cocklink and the remap in one session if I brought the parts along on the groupbuy? Reason being I haven't got the time to get the exhaust system n other bits fitted to my MY00 to be in good time for the groupbuy. But at the sametime I don't want to miss out on the savings

no harm in ringing up Powerstation - they are really friendly and i reckon would do it (for a price obviously)

Stix - only 5 days to go before you're down there - bet you're excited???

I was at Snetterton yesterday on the track and cant wait for some more power - kept up well with the modded STi's in its standard trim so with the remap that should make it really exciting

Well excited! Got a problem with a panel filter that I ordered ages ago not materialising, but apart from that can't wait.

Ive had the car a month, changed the downpipe, MAF, oil&filter and clutch.

So its ready for more shove - just need that blinking panel filter

if it is a green filter - a mate of mine runs a car tuning website and sourced one for mine very quickly.

amazingly addictive this modding lark - from yesterday i have an even longer wish list

I went for a JR filter in the end, but had a green on my last scoob - was pretty good.

Very addictive, but after the remap thats it for me for a while - will have spent a small fortune in a month

But - I am hoping that I'll be sorted then for a good while with (hopefully) 270-280bhp:

MAF, JR filter, Ninja Sports Cat, exedy STi clutch, remap, crystal pack, new Sony HU - about 1600 squids all in

Very sorry to say I have to pull out of this group buy. I have emailed Rich to let him know. Hope it doesn't ruin it for anyone (I'm sure it won't - there's plenty more takers than the original 5 required).
