I weighed my 1999 STi V v.ltd Type RA sometime ago on a weigh bridge with half a tank of fuel, spare wheel and without me, she wieghed in at 1280 kg.
She had some pretty hefty wheels on her at the time, since changing them she's now 1260kg.
I think manafacturer's specs are weighed dry. So that's a real world weight for you.

Reading a service manual for the classic, it said kerb weight (which I presume includes fluids) was 1235kg. 725kg front / 510kg rear split, but you still have to add for extras which include:
Power windows 3 kg (1kg front, 2kg rear)
Power door locks 1kg (1 rear)
ABS for 15" wheels 8kg (7 front 1 rear)
Air con 17 kg! (19 front -2 rear ??)
Sunroof 13kg (5 front 8 rear)
No power steering -7kg (-8 front 1 rear)
Driver airbag 6kg (5 front 1 rear)
Driver and passenger air bag 13kg (11 front 2 rear)
So if you get all the goodies you’re looking at an extra 55kg!!! Nearly a passenger or a tank of fuel
never mind the bigger wheels as well
Some people’s power /weight ratios might change a bit

Believe it or not the Type r weighs in 10 kg more than the Ra. about 1270 and 1260 respectively depending on extras in all.I got my Type r down to about 1220 after aircon was thrown out and cats removed.

i weighed my 1999 uk classic and it came in at approx 1255kgs that was with 1/4 tank of fuel and 17's and cats etc still on the car, i was pretty impressed ive no air con or sunroof though, still will make for a good power to weight ratio when i get it upto around 340bhp, evo's are much heavier than scoobs ;-)

On the weighbridge my 93 type RA witha full tank of fuel went 1150kg with aircon and leccy windows, but no central locking.
This was before weightloss which now has it down to around 1070kg.
The evo's are indeed porkier - my evo8 went 1410kg

Here is a useful link, it has the weights of all models and years of type R's and RA's at the bottom of the page under 'Power to weight ratios'.
