Wink Geometry checks in S.E.

Can anyone please recommend somewhere to be trusted with checking and adjusting the geometry on my Scooby.

Oh yeah, I am in South East London - Bromley/Croydon.

Cheers!

Try Elite, in Rainham, Essex. Just inside the M25 and a few minutes from the north side of the Dartford crossing.

To be honest, your best bet woud be Gatwick Subaru. Dave Hollamby is the service manager and a total enthusiast, they fit all sorts of 'aftermarket' stuff, Whiteline etc and I have seen others commenting on how well they set geometry up!!
Prices not unreasonable either I believe.

Geometry is only as good as the operator, but I'd still ask if they were using laser equipment myself.

doesn't answer your question though

Unfortunately Barretts do not own the 4WD alignment equipment, they use the equipment at the Rover garage and can only do it when Rover are not using it, so they said I would have to leave the car for the day and they would get it fitted in sometime.

this is true. i was told they would need the car for 2 days(to be safe) to fit lowered springs, front and rear roll bars, anti-lift kit, rear camber sdjustment bolts and fuul geometry set-up! got a call at 3pm on day 1 saying all work completed!! well pleased.

Just a note to add that Powerstation are no longer in Cheltenham for those that don't know.
Tim fry (the landy dealership next door) wanted more room to stack his junk so put the rent through the roof and they had no option to move, not far though.. Tewksbury now apparently, not called in yet so cant say any more than that really.

Just had a full geometry check completed at Elite. Only two settings slightly out of tolerance.
No booking necesary, and they were very professional, and definately had the correct laser alignment equipment.
Price - half the cost of the Subaru dealer!

Would recomend them. They are also very knowledgeable on Prodrive settings etc.

Somebody please tell me,
What is the difference between standard and Prodrive settings on the geometry, and what are the pros and cons of having the Prodirve setup.

I have just spoken to Elite who said tha they could set up my MY98 wagon with prodrive settings for £82.07.

Thanks for your help

I just had my MY98 done at Elite last week. The kit they have is superb and the improvement in the car is unbelievable. I live in Croydon and it's well worth the visit to Rainham.
