Something I'd like to see done with the stock TD04. 310bhp is the highest I've found a Scooby to make so far with it on.
I bet it'd feel like being shot out of a cannon past 310.

TBH he built it to 666bhp then dropped a stock STI turbo in to see what kind of power a stock Turbo can make with an impressive list of supporting mods.

I forgot, only the WRX can be upgraded.
I'm getting tired of you labeling WRX's as the leisurely STI's.

You mean they are WRX's. I posed two pics of floglight equipped US STI's.
And this STI? Was also bought as a WRX?

So a rotated gt35 on my 2.1 might give me a fighting chance.

I feel a great sense of accomplishment knowing all the WRX owners reading this thread now know that they have the better version by a long long way.
Cheaper to buy
Faster to 60
Faster to 100 at similar power levels
Faster 1/4 mile at 350hp even if STI has up to 20% more power.
Less transmission losses and rotational mass (lighter gearbox, clutch & brake disks)
More subtle interior
Far better MPG
Less drag
Less weight
Cheaper to insure
Cheaper to fix
Cheaper to maintain
Doesn't need forged internals to run 11 second drag runs.
Easier to drive at increased power levels (STI drivers get more spin and hit the limiter)
After these two STI crushing threads...

...WRX owners no longer have to suffer comments at the hands of STI fanboys such as "You have STI envy," "You have the poverty Spec car," "Should have got an STI" or "You need a 6 speed box."
A fairly stock 360/350 WRX can match the STI's at power levels that mean nearly all its STI parts are redundant.
Sure the WRX maybe comprised when going past 350lbft but:
The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long.

I thought you only got 1 time? So now you ran a 12.8 with 256bhp then 265bhp (officially at 430bhp as confirmed by your friend and what you say is needed to get into the 12's) and now 260bhp? Is the perfect launch on an STI so hard to perfect? On a WRX you can just launch at different rpms to control traction.

12.8 at 260 bhp sorry if this ruins your wrx drag rubbish but hey ho the sti is the performance premium model for a reason
the key word in all that rubbish above is cheaper
and ill say it one more time 12.8 at 260 bhp!!!!!

The key point though for all considering a usable fast road Impreza - The WRX can accelerate at speeds that an STI would need forged internals, fuel pressure regulator, headers, FMIC, large aftermarket turbo, cone filter, uprated clutch and large injectors to match.

The irony of running 12.8 in a traction helping full weight STI with passenger and boot full of bits is that to do 12.5 and beat a notorious WRX time we all know about will mean a big step up in power and that means start line traction issues.
I put it to you thomas that going from around 256/260/265 to over 300bhp will in fact make it more difficult to improve on the 12.8 thus enabling the WRX to keep it's "Faster Car" tag.

Newage STI, 2.0L variant, is good for 400, with just a turbo swap.
Newage WRX, with it's poxy TD04, need most of the stuff you listed.
