Question

Does anyone on this bbs have any instructions in english for what the bolt on the back a HKS SSQ do?
I have fitted it, but would like to know more on what it does ?
JW Racing said they would try and help me out, seeing as I got it from there, but still waiting

Question

Just guessing but perhaps it controls how much pressure differntial there needs to be before it vents?

I think it's a "don't mess" sort of thing! I remember some fiddling having gone on in the past on Scoobynet & it apparently not doing anything, then someone who knew what they were doing said DON'T TOUCH IT. Fiddling mucks up idle, for what reason I can't remember...
Oh, where 'o where art though, search engine?

As long as the dump doesn't leak at idle it wan't be any probs.
I would suggest tighening it up a fair amount, i wouldn't like the
leaking that sometimes occurs at half-throttle with original dump.

Tight it so it only wents when releasing from full load, you'll get a nice mix of dump pschh and compressor-stall

It works properly in the set up that it comes in. It doesn't need any fiddling!

It causes problems
I believe that it adjusts the release pressure. So, fiddling with it one way or the other either relases pressure too early meaning that idling becomes a problem, or too late meaning that boost isn't dumped when it should be... I think it's better leaving it alone

I thought I did help you out quite a bit considering? In fact I cant remembering you asking me for any help other than fitting instructions.

But here it goes...

The HKD Super Sequential Blow off Valve is a dual stage pull type relief valve. Unlike push type bov the SSQV will not leak under any level of boost because the boost pressure in the chamber leeps the valve closed against its seat. This ensures a quick valve response and complete closure during idle.

Need anymore help? You only have to ask!

Guys,

Thanks for your input, the bolt is almost all the way out, so from what your telling me I shall leave it alone as everything is ok at the minute.
