whining noise

Question

I have a whining noise at between 3000 to 4000 revs on my scoob ,anyone else have this noise or now whether it is normal

Haha! See my other thread regarding whining for more details.

Few questions:
1. Whats your exact model? Mine's JDM STI RA MY01

2. Does yours happen ONLY when hot, and not immediately after a cold start? Mine's at its most obvious only after 15mins of driving. Doesn't have to be HARD driving, just cruising will do.

3. Have you tried anything that fixes it? I initially thought that it may have been the accessories driving off the crankshaft. But I've disconnected both belts (to aircon, alternator and powersteering) and driven the car. No avail, the noise is still there.

It happens straight away even from cold,but i must say when its hot it seems to be much louder.I have rang the garage were i got the car from as it is under warranty they said it could be the exhaust plate but i dont think so.Well its going in on mon so hopefully they can come up with an answer. my car is a catalunya not as fast as yours but seems like it can happen on any scoob regards model
