Question

HELP !

I've fitted a full decat system to the mota and the light has come on after about 1000miles but unfortunately has stayed on. I've heard that this could happen and to simply take it to your local dealer to have the ECU reset, this is proving harder than I thought cos my local 3 dealers won't touch it instead just waffling on about emmisions & Fines etc.....

Does anybody know a dealer in the NW that will sort it or any other quick fix method apart from ripping the feckin light out

Cheers,

Even if you do reset it . It will only come back on again

Thats the trouble with a full decat

Depending where you bought it there is a magic box that will fool the system and keep the light off

Yes Scoobysport have a fix, about 50 notes I think. Give them a call and they will sort you out.

Having said that my car ran quite happily for ages with the CEL on till I got it sorted, almost missed it when it was gone

Frank - Have you personally tried this American solution ? It seems a very simple and cheap method if it works.

Cheers for all the other comments, can anybody confirm whether a uk-spec MY01 has 4 wires going into the Lambda sensor cos I can't remember it having that many when I took it out to change it over.

Cheers,
