confused ???

Default confused ???

hi i have a question i just put a lightened flywheel and paddle clutch in and a 4-1 gearbox in so i went on ebay and brought a 4-1 rear diff clutch and box in no problem then put diff in and the o/s driveshaft wont go in then i find the internals of new diff are diffrent my driveshaft is too long my shaft has 2 series of teeth ony on the o/s though

any ideas im poss thinking ive been sold a non lsd 4-1 diff

There 2 diffs one a r160 and the other a r180 the r180 uses bigger shafts

i have a 94 wrx 5 speed if that helps

and the gearbox code i have fitted is TY752VN3BA

there are a couple of variants of rear diff, the early car using 2x different nose length shafts
