Fix 6 Speed STI Gearbox (North East)
Hey All,
Do we have anyone in the North East who can repair newage 6 speed STI Gearboxes.
I know I can ship it away but would rather have it repaired local If its possible.

Hi don,
Yeah they never turn out quite like you want em too, Damn cars lol
looks like its the reverse selector fork, selector rail and £5 metal pin.
Money i could do without spending but hey thats cars.

will keep you posted, in the body shop all next week then with the help of Dawn (Harvey) its booked in with John Pye Motorsport just down the road from me.

Hi Richard,
What was the problem with yours, Was it the same as mine ?
All my gears 1 - 6 are mint just wont go into reverse.
was it expensive

Mine was synchros. Labour was fairly cheap but synchros cost a fortune. The guy is good & rebuilds boxes for one of the Scooby specialists near here,your only problem is getting it to him.
