Default Cant find Reverse

Hi Guys
took car out today drove great then pulls up outside house to reverse into drive, and It wont stay in reverse, Does not feel like it clicking in. If I hold gear stick there and try just get the noise of the cogs.

Its an 03 Blobeye STI with 6 speed gearbox
Any ideas guys or things I can check
Not really that mechanical minded and hoping its not the end
of my gearbox.

Please Help

Possibly the clutch on its way out? What do the other gears feel and engage like when shifting up and down the box?
How does your pedal feel? Like normal or is it getting higher?
Also have you checked the oil level on the box?

Thanks for the reply mate,

All the gears go in fine and feel normal, Clutch feels spot on not moved at all.

Its just reverse feels like it wont go back for enough.

as above, highly likely the cable that operates the reverse lock-out has detached or snagged

Fingers are crossed, is it looking like what Don suggested? Have you checked what "Infected" asked, the oil level on the box?

Would this solution also apply to a similar problem I'm having with a 5 speed box in my classic?

Simple answer, no. 5speed box doesn't have a reverse lock.
