I have a STI4, 2 weeks in my hands , and it woulndn't start tonight really miffed off

The engine would crank and turn but it would ignite/fire

After 5 minutes I put the accelaerator right to th floor and cranked it contiunously and it fired.

Could it be the plugs , could it be flooded?

I had a simlar problem on my 93 WRX but that turned out to be a fuel pump problem >The engine though did fire eventually this time .

Do dodgy plugs cause non starting ??

All help appreciated as it will have to go back to garage otherwise. Sods law its one of those faults that never happens when you take it to the garage for them to look at it !!

When you turn the ignition on, do you wait for the fuel pump to pressurise the system? before starting.

Bit late in getting back to you, but yes that's what i normally do, then turn the key, don't touch the accelerator pedal.
