Heavy Vibration after Clutch swap.
Morning all,
After some pointers/advice after having work done on my MY99 wagon.
New exedy stage 1 clutch fitted (Plus full service, cambelt etc) at a local performance garage (not specialising with Imprezas but have worked on them, mine also in the past). As I'd been led to expect, a bit of judder on starting, which is no problem but noticed that accelerating through 40mph to 45mph (1500-1700rpm) in 5th, car shakes like an imbalanced washing machine!
Nice and smooth upto 40MPH, vibrates like mad upto about 45mph then fine again? Tried it in other gears, could be ever so slightly felt in 4th but hardly noticeable. Have been back to the garage who speculated that the clutch could be faulty and have said they'd replace (well they did last week), are these symptoms likely to be the clutch or could it be something not put back together properly, prop shaft, engine mounts???
Any advice really appreciated.
thanks
