Default Do all the Impreza boxes use cable selectors?

As per the title really. As far as I can tell from digging around cable selectors seem to be standard (as opposed to a rod or direct selection on the box).

Cable selector is another big plus for my project

All imprezas use rod selection with the box directly under the linkage as the unit is inline as opposed to transverse which needs cable selection given the length to the box.

Yeah, that's a bit of a pain. Not insurmountable though Weird, I googled Impreza Gear Selector Cable earlier today and got a load of hits. Hmmm.

Guess I'll be converting it to use cables then.....

The only cable used is on a 6 speed for pulling the arm to select reverse

Except for the late 6 speed diesels that use a 3 cable cable change set up............... Very high geared 17 inch wheels + 1500 rpm in 6th = 60 mph You work out how fast it'll be on a high power petrol turbo car at 7500 rpm

That box is about the same size as a TY 754.
