Default Carbonetic Pro Blade Clutch Kit Impreza STi GDB - whats it like?

http://www.shop.indigo-gt.co.uk/prod...7b981d20401204

Anyone had any experience with these? I will be replacing my clutch on my 02 sti in a few weeks but need something capable of 450+. I was going to fit a pink box exedy as its a daily driver so it needs to be as close to oem as possible. Is this a better option?

Cheers,
Andy

Hi there

Depends on what you will be use the car,if you are intending run more drag runs,i would suggest Exedy twin plate

If you are planning some track days plus daily driving i would go like Helix Twin plate or AP Organic

About the Carbonetic Pro Blade Clutch, tried only once and i've been very impressed, this I've tried on the EVO X,but from reports on the Mitsubishi forums looking like good clutch which will hold the power

I would speak to Ryan@Indigo GT about the best price

The closest I get to drag racing is the traffic light grand prix so not fussed about launching the car to within an inch of its life, but I will be doing the odd track day. From what I have read AP, exedy, helix all seem to be limited to 400nm torque but these carbonetic claim 500! trouble is your the first that I have come across that has had experience with it.

What about the ACT clutch, those clutches are for good money and many people starting using them too on the 22b/MLR sprint series

Worth have look

I've tried as I said on the EVO only and this clutch been great almost OEM feel, similar we 're tried too Carbonetics Twin plate clutch and must admit, much better feel than Exedy twin plate, which i wouldn't recommend if you are looking using car daily or you are looking spend some time at traffic jams
