Why have Subaru not commented on big end failure?

I have been reading the post lately on big end failure and just wondered why Subaru and Prodrive have not commented on this topic. It seems to me it is a big problem on their behalf that for every car going in for a service at a dealer it has a good chance of ufcking up on the way home for some reason.I am due a service in a couple of months and am **** scared to get it done reading the posts on here of other peoples engine failures.
COME ON SUBARU YOU KNOW WHATS HAPPENING,HELP US GET SORTED!!

Again, I ask the prodrive engine builder on scoobynet, surely all subaru engines arent doomed to failure... are they??
Is there any modifications we can do easily? or while rebuilding? to help fix the problem.. I dont recall Colin McCrae or Richard Burns ever ending a rally due to big ends going. Why should we suffer...

Do you honestly think that Subaru or Prodrive could make any meaningful comment in a public forum like this?
What do you think they should say? How do you think they should do it? How would they prepare the dealers for queries? What's the resolution - replace everyone's engine?
It's unrealistic to expect this sort of thing, IMVHO.

If its big end failure I think they should as its a very common Impreza flaw in the engine.People on this forum bought these cars for performance and reliability, well we have the performance but the reliability aspect is swept under the carpet most of the time.No wonder we have went from no1 to around the 50's in the JD power survey in acouple of years.

...and even if they did know what was causing it, I wouldn't expect them to admit to it being a design/manufacture problem as I would have thought that not enough of them let go for them to worry about it too much.
After all, it's very difficuly to prove their liability so I would expect them to just ignore the problem. That is the way the whole industry (generally speaking) works, it's not just IM.
Matt.
