I have a 94 uk impreza turbo which drips oil from the base of the timing belt cover. Im guessing its the front crank seal, Has anyone attempted replacing this, Is it much of a task & am i correct in thinking this is the problem.

Cheers

Dean

Its not hard if you are semi competant. What you would have to do is take off the cam belt, remove the crank sprocket and then pull out the old seal out of the oil pump and refit with a new one. Atleast it will be cheap. Probably worth doing a cambelt at the same time if it is going to need doing soon.

Or it could be a cam seal.
