Does everybody with a Dawes on a Subaru drill the bleed hole out to 1.5mm?

With TD04L turbo most folk are, with TD05 most are not. I think the MY96 and before had TD05 and MY97 on had TD04L - you can see it on the side of your turbo with a torch usually.

 

I'm running a MY99 ( think it is the TD04L Turbo) with Dawes drilled to 1.0 mm bleed, I like it to be a little aggressive.
No problem with part trottle turbo pressure, it's nearly the same as without the Dawes, but the spool up is aggressive

They are actually sold with the required bleed hole, unless stipulated by the customer.

What size did you sell me Jamie?

 

I got mine from Jamie (excellent service btw) and it was pre drilled to 1.5mm to go onto my MY99.
