Rattling noise from engine
#1
Have noticed over last few days when I start my car up and when it is at 1500 revs (sometimes) and 3500 revs there is a rattling sound from my engine. It sounds like when your exhaust is loose and rattles.
Have had a new downpipe put on recently and someone has told me that it could be my heat shield on my turbo which has come loose. Is this right or could it be more serious gulp.
Any advice would be extremely welcome.
Thanks
Lozza

Lozza,
Odds on its the LHS heat shield. If it is jack it up and check the bolts r tight (cures that most of the time)
Alternatively and 1 I`m experiencing myself jnow is the heat shield on the turbo up pipe has broken off it`s flange (total bitch to get to) so let it rattle 4 a bit
