Default Ppg gearbox info...

Hey guys just been reading on these and was wondering if anyone can clarify this..

Basically my sti version 5, 2 door has a ppg gearbox 1st and 2nd are straight cut 3rd 4th and 5th are helical.

Now my question is...

Can I change/drive it without using the clutch at all?

I just read (on google) that its designed for that, but am un-sure and dont wanna do it in case I break it...

Gearbox has been in the car for aorund 4 years and has done roughly 25k sounds good no odd noises (besides the very loud race car whine in 1st and 2nd) there is no issues.

Personally I wouldn't. They don't have an infinite life and unless you are in competition you won't see a significant difference.

I have also read that with the straight cuts you haver to be carefull with gearchanges..

I find it odd how I can go from 1st to 2nd but not 2nd to 1st anything over 10mph??...
