trouser, how much louder over standard is the D/P? I currently have a Scorpion exhaust and am looking for a d/p but cant decide which one to go for, I would like an increase in volume and a big increase in torque??

It's noticeably torquier and louder mate.. I wouldn't like to say the exact number of decibels noisier it is... but judging by the number of smiley faces on start up.. about right ...

Torque wise.. don' forget as you DECREASE back pressure, the turbo has less to push against. Torque is increased but higher up the rev range.

cheers

Does the lower turbo spool up make the power come in earlier then?
Presumably on overrun, you are greeted by loads of pops and bangs???

Cool

Hi chaps

£180 plus VAT for DP.. then £80 fitting plus VAT so £305.50 all done

BEST of all our local MOT is how shall we say... without him landing in hot water.... er .. pragmatic in his view of de-catted scoobs .. (I think you know what I am saying, kids )

Cheers

Do you have them for MY01's and if so how about any black boxes to stop the CEL from coming on?

Hi Guys

seejay..

Steve.. we would only fit a 01/02 Front cat removal to a car with full Motec or similar. We replace cat 2, resonator and BB but not a huge fan of the characteristics of driveability that ensue. We have fitted Pete's and the torque and BHP gains are undisputed. Sound's rather pleasant too.... but IN MY OPINION ONLY. .. the car is smoother and picks up a little better low down with cat 1 back pressure there

Cheers

Question

Trouser ...

''Torque wise.. don' forget as you DECREASE back pressure, the turbo has less to push against. Torque is increased but higher up the rev range''.

Am I right to think that the decatted DP does encourage the Turbo to spool up earlier (from 1,500 ish instead of 2,000 ish) though ... so would that more than balance out the low end torque loss as your packing more boost earlier ... or am I mistaken?

Appreciate any comments!

Steve
