Question

Since I fiddled with the rear brakes on my Scoob (painted the calipers), they've been making an odd clumking noise in time with the wheel rotation when applying the brakes. Its more apparent at low speed and appears worse when they are hot.

I've had a bash by lubricating the guides with copper-eaze with little effect, my only thought is seeing that the pads were removed to paint the calipers, now they are put back on, they move about on the guides and thus bang on the caliper.

Anyone got any ideas of fixing it (without fitting new discs and pads - still got 8mm left)???

My solution for now is to fit a louder exhaust and crank up the ICE so I dont hear it!!

I also get a wierd sound which I think are the front pads slapping onto the disc when the brake pedal is pushed.
This was also after painting calipers (front though) and reassembling.
All I can think it may be is that one pad is getting stuck on the guide and then slaps onto the disc. Have not noticed braking poor or any additional wear so have lived with it.
Odd that it only happens on one side - perhaps I have got some piant stuck somewhere it should not have gone?
