Then 2000 miles later see group buy on scoobynet for hks hiper ti tip(thanks to POC and DR EVIL cheers guys)backbox, center, and a cat replacement pipe i think, it about 2 foot long(sorry a bit thick)
Then another 1200 miles later(total mileage 4200)which was yesterday the engine warning light come on.
The car has NO other MODS.
So today took hks off and put standard zorst back on and the light went off

You need to get the car on a Select Monitor so you find out what the code is.
Any other comment is a waste of time, until you know exactly what caused the fault.
It may be something completely unrelated.

Take Pete's advice - he knows what he talking about.
FWIW, IMHO it is likely that the cause is not the exhaust. The CEL on the MY01 goes off after 4 restarts if the fault does not reoccur. It is possible that you have an intermittant fault and the CEL just went off after you changed the exhaust back. But don't worry, your dealer will get the error code from the ECU.

PS What are the odds on it being a cam or crank sensor?
