Default MY01 WRX clutch issue

Hi all,
I could do with some advise with my WRX clutch pedal.
It's always been lower than the brake pedal but recently it has seemed to sit lower down and needs to be pushed into the carpet to enable a gear change. The travel seems to be reducing. Since I've had the car the pedal has sometimes stuck half down but the clutch doesn't and hasn't ever slipped.
So what I want to know is, does this sound like an issue with the cutch? Or just the pedal mechanism? Can the pedal position be adjusted?
The car has done 80k miles and is on the original clutch
Thanks in advance

Sounds like the slave is faulty. Its external to the gearbox and is an easy job to replace.
