Between 208 and 276bhp as standard, as a general rule scoobies are not the greatest cars to tune beyond 300bhp. Beyond ECU change and breathing mods things get expensive.

depends on your budget

breathing mods - exhaust and filter not too expensive

FMIC are available to replace the TMIC or a bigger TMIC

Replacement/mappable ECU, plenty on the market, LINK, MOTEC, UNICHIP. Best getting soemone who knows about these though.

A few engine builders about who will rebuild and strengthen engines as well. I have heard that a few scoob are running cossie pistons as well .

cheers

chrisp

dazc2:
My STI4 has now done 64K reliable miles with a setup of 348BHP.
I'm happy, not sure why the earlier poster said >300BHP was a problem, unless he was just refering to UK cars, as most Japan imports are putting out 280BHP stock and easily 300BHP with a filter/exhaust change.
320BHP is achievable for sensible money as well.

Have you looked at the dyno site: dyno.scoobynet.co.uk ? This lists power outputs for various common and not so common mods.

Andy.

OK, here are the specs for my car...

MY95 Impreza Wagon
- Unichip
- Ferrita 2,5" (race-cat) exhaust
- STi v. IV pistons
- Turbosmart Dual Stage Boost Controller
- MRT Group A rampod
- MRT Boost Cut Defender
- Samco Turbo hoses (not installed yet, tho)

When running on 14.5 PSI this resulted in 258HP/314Nm, currently running on 16PSI (low setting) 20PSI (high setting) though, I'll try to get a dynorun within next month...
