What is Overboost?
#2
<AFAIK>
It's a term used to describe what happens when the turbo generates more boost than the ECU thinks is safe and it cuts back the power. Typically, the cutout can be quite sudden, like driving into treacle. Too much boost can cause detonation in the engine and if it's really bad, blow the intercooler off.
