Default Clutch (bedding in miles)

Hey, can anyone advise how many miles or the process of bedding in a new clutch.........it's an organic exedy with new flywheel if that makes a difference??

I would give it a couple of hundred miles of mixed driving to allow it to bed in before giving it full load at in high gears - if it's the racing version that is.

OEM will require less as the friction material is different.

Which version do you have?

lol my new clutch was fitted and taken straight for mapping! no bedding in? slipped a bit top end on hard gear changes but a few launches sorted that out lol

When you say mixed driving, do you mean quick, aggressive starts, or gentle driving?

Another silly question, but, when sat in traffic, idling etc, foot off clutch or clutch in?

had an exedy pink box 6 speed clutch and lightweight flywheel fitted on tuesday,have noticed from a standing start in 1st and reverse gear's are stiff to engage but when moving all's good,,does this sound right??

Just normal driving avoiding heavy loading (ie full boost in high gears). With the friction material nowadays it's not so much an issue as before, but always good the let the friction plate bed in.

Bob I have your 6 speed lightweight flywheel and pink box exedy clutch, the biting point is as high as the old (Replaced) clutch. Is this normal?
