Hi Peeps,

The Noise is as follows :

A distinct whine throughout the gears and throughout the rev range (the pitch of the noise does not go up with speed though) a constant whine in other words that upon coming to a stand almost sounds like a dry chugging noise , the whine is also there when i dis engage the gearbox as in when i coast which leads to me to think diff? however im not sure....


The setup of the car is a 2002 bugeye WRX UK model running a full STI engine with prodrive pack coupled to a 5 speed wrx gearbox not the best combo so i hear but was done for acceleration?

Now I realise how hard it is to diagnose a sound by description only but im just looking for ideas and if anyone has had the same thing....
