ninja, I was semi instrumental in the design of the kit as my car was used as the development mule.

Mine was a 98 so I cant help you there,

The rad comes out anyway when you do a cambelt change, so this is the same.

The uprated rad showed no worse water temps than I was seeing before. In fact I insisted on boss being welded in to the rad on both sides so that people could measure pre and post rad temps to attempt toc alculate efficiency, same goes with the intercooler itself.

The fans each are capable of flowing all most as much air as both fans on the standard car assuming you have air con.

mike tuckwood fitted one to his sti 5 type r (similar to P1) so he could confirm fitting etc. He also sells and fits them through scoobymania so he might be worth talking to.

Ninja, yes we have fitted Pace FMIC to a 99.

Water temperature has been ok, have had occasions where sitting in queues of traffic, no probs.

Also when "working" the engine hard the temps have been fine.

The fans seem to be on more often than the standard set up, but...maybe it is because they are "louder" (?)

I dont think there is much more work involved when doing the cam belt, two int. hoses and a couple of bolts.

Glad we done it, not yet realised the full potential, will be changing the turbo in the future

Any other questions just let me know, cheers, MD.

I've got one on my MY00, got it from scoobymania
only had it fitted a week so not really able to comment on it yet, but water temp seems ok to me.

Doesn't look as good as an APS one, IMHO.

A friend has one fitted to his legacy turbo.. Not a straight fit!!!! Kit came with wrong size jubilee clips. As far as I am aware, 99 models use the same rad as older cars, and also same top rad hose. The kit came with NO top radiator hose, and radiator outlet was completely different to the std rad. luckily I had a selection of old hoses lying about. Air temps are very good, and water temps seem to be fine too, even with enthusiastic driving!!!! ( temps monitored with the motec ecu )
Although kit was incomplete, It is still better value than other intercooler kits.
Good job!

this is the new kit intended to be sold for the impreza with an uprated rad. All fits fine. Trying to fit it to a legacy I would not expect it to fit.
