Default exhaust question

i brought a secondhand performance backbox a week ago didnt have time to fit it went in cupboard for it today and it as white powder like ash and fine cotton like fluff on inside is this ok to fit any ideas as to what it is it didnt have it when i collected it

I'd hazard a guess that you bought it off your local dealer who forgot he left his stash in it. Its ok though cos your exhaust is now worth best part of £20k on the street.

Well TBH it was posted more to bump the thread than anything else as it seemed to be going unanswered. Hopefully someone will be able to come up with a sensible reply.

I have to be honest. I haven't a clue what your saying?

You sure the muflfer isn't breaking apart?

Give it a clean mate, then fit it on the car and let the loud pedal blow the cobwebs out.
