Urgent clutch help please
Hi guys, I bought my 55 plate STI (UK) Scoob mid July. It suffered with really bad clutch judder and vibration through the pedal so the garage I bought it from changed it without any quibbles at all. I now have a new clutch but the biting point is right at the top of the pedal (I can change gear by only depressing the clutch very slightly). There is no slipping but the tiny movement on the clutch pedal can cause a jerky gearchange - even when you really concentrate hard on doing a lovely smooth and slow gearchange. Also, I am sure that the gearknob seems higher than before and there is a strong smell of gearbox oil .... this may be unrelated I am not sure .... the car is going back tomorrow but I am not sure if the clutch pedal biting point is an issue so I don't know if to mention it or not (it is going in because of the gearbox oil smell).
I have done a search on here and on the www but many of the threads say that if the biting point is high then the clutch could be worn but, of course, I know it is a new clutch.
Thanks in advance for some speedy replies guys )

Thank you for your speedy reply - I have no idea I'm afraid .... I'm a dumb girlie!! I have read on here that the pedal can be adjusted - would it require adjustment after a clutch change (could something have changed to make the pedal now higher for the biting point) ?
