CAn somebody tell me does adding a straight through centre pipe, increase the noise much. At the moment i have a cat by-pass downpipe, sti centre and sti back box. But it still sounds quite quiet. I need more noise you hear some scoobies sounding lovely when they go past.

Is just fitting a centre section going to help, as i can't afford a new back box, i haven't had this one that long.

Thanks

Luke

AFAIK the STi centre has a resonator (silencer) in it, but replacing this with a straight through pipe will only increase noise a little.

If you want noise, go for a backbox and leave the centre. Keep an eye on the For Sale section, BB's come up quite often.

Scoobysport's will give a good sound, although some think it's too loud. Tend to be relatively expensive secondhand, a Magnex might be better value for money. Get along to some meets if you want to compare sounds, but if you buy an backbox second hand and then decide you want something else, you can probably sell it for near enough what you pay for it anyway

Cheers
Tim
