Newbie Question on clutch slippage
Hi,
wondering if you guys could help.
I have a GD impreza wrx 2002. I have a newish paddle clutch fitted (1000miles new). i went to launch the car at the lights as i was in the wrong lane and wanted to nip in front of the bus, instead of forward motion the revs bounced of the limiter in 1st to 5th and i went no where. the burnt clutch smell was so bad i could taste it. I turned the car off and on in a vein attempt to fix it like a pc and everything was ok. clutch engaged fine, after a round about i booted it and mr rex went screaming down the dual carriageway like he should parked it up at work and kept the handbrake on and tried to see if the clutch slipped and the car stalled. so clutch fine. any ideas what this could be. sorry for the long description. (currently looking through previous question to see if anything is similar)

Its made by exedy. The car was warmish, started it about 20 minutes before slip and drove it for 10 -15 mins after that. Reason for paddle clutch over organic is that ive started purchasing bits for a decent power hike. i wont bore you with my plan but thanks for the response.
