Anyone know the 4EAT Transmission codes?
#1
Hi All,
Since washing the scoob on Sunday, i now get a transmission error code flashed up every time i start her up. I run the diags on the tranmission and i get two long flashes followed by four short flashes. The sequence then repeats over. I'm assuming this is error code 24.
Does anybody know what this is telling me. I would be very grateful if someone in the know would enlighten me.
The scoob in question is a MY97 Legacy Outback Automatic.
The Dealer doesn't want to play because its an import...

Andy,
How are you running diags on the transmission ?
ECU error code 24 is "idle air solenoid" (for early WRX cars at least) - are you connecting the wires up under the dash ?
Auto owners on this board are fairly rare (under five I think) so you may have more luck posting on the U.S. BBS which has a lot higher readership: I-Club
I hope you get it sorted
Thanks
Gavin

Hi Gavin,
Thanks for your reply.
I have since found the SVX FAQ web site which has loads of info about the 4EAT and lists the error codes.

Andy,
You learn something new every day - thanks for that.
As I said before, posting on the transmission forum on I-Club will generate a lot more replies if you have any further problems.
Thanks
Gavin
