Question

I am currently running a UK MY 97 with a replacement panel filter and Magnex back box.
For my next mod I am looking at a replacement downpipe followed by the Dawes device.
However, I seem to remember reading somewhere that the Dawes device can be more effective if used with the standard exhaust set up.
My question is therefore is it worth upgrading the downpipe with a Dawes in mind??

Comments / experiences will be graefully received.

Cheers

Ady

I have an MY97 with a full decat zorst and a dawes fitted. Removing the cats was like taking the handbrake off. Fitting the dawes allowed a higher boost, and a much smoother curve. Tested today at Well Lane RR 244bhp@6100rpm 220lb/ft
