tell me which back box to buy 4 02WRX
#1
Hi All,
Gonna take delivery of a 02 WRX soon and want to sort a few things out as soon as I get it.
No1 a back box. Basically want it to sound good! from day one. A mate had a scooby sport back box on his my99 turbo and it sounded the biz - would this be a good choice for me too? Dont really care about cost too much.

See my ad in the for sale New TSL email me if you are interested I can`t accept the £200 offered for what is basically a new box. It cost me £20 to have it removed professionally. Brilliant sound, but wife complains! miserable so and so.

Andy,
Sure you aware but you will probably (I say that as it seems to depend on dealership) invalidate your new warranty on the car if you don't fit factory recommended parts to it. I.e I spoke to my dealer about my new 02 WRX and asked what would happen if I fitted a ScoobySport BB to it and the reply was "if it's not part of the PPP then the warranty goes out of the window". Of course if its an import then all of this is a moot point.
So for me at least, I've got to spend out £1600 to get a PPP or I can't mod the car within the three years. ****

All depends what your after. IMHO the TSL back box is great. Its not too loud, in fact I can't hear it at motorway speeds 'cos the stereo drowns it out and the quality is excellent.Check out the attention to detail on the hangers!
Some women don't like ANY exhaust mods, they become too self conscious / embarassed of the extra noise levels ( NOT saying this is the case with Active's lady ) Its a shame you had to remove it Active
Yorkie, I think you'd like the sound of the TSL BB, mines got the single 90mm tail pipe. If you'd like, I can meet up with you this week so you can hear it in person.
Cheers,
BOB

Divecon, your dealer sounds particularly inflexible.Just fitting a backbox is in no way gonna cause problems to any car.
Anyway, you can fit a WR Sport box- £350. Look and sound great.
Beware, though its oval and not the same as the ppp round one(about £430). for some silly reason prodrive won't sell it without the ppp.
